Willard man accused of illegal vehicle sales

A Willard man remains in custody at the Huron County Jail on allegations he has bought multiple vehicles illegally using other people's names without their permission. Jose E. Hernandez, 36, of 24 Motson St., has been unable to post a $75,000 bond since Sept. 6 on three counts of tampering with government records. If convicted, he faces one to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000 on each charge.
