Steven D. Hall, 41, of Berlin Heights, was cited Tuesday for failure to maintain assured clear distance after he struck the rear of the vehicle being driven by Jane M. Mahl, 60, of 3524 Medusa Road, on Hartland Center Road, Collins.

Dorothy F. Kinnel, 59, of Wakeman, struck a deer Wednesday on Florence Wakeman Road.

Joshua J. Phillips, 24, of Greenwich, was charged Wednesday with operating a vehicle without reasonable control after he traveled off the left side of the road and struck a ditch and culvert on Rome Greenwich Road. He was also cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving while under suspension.

Joshua S. Lowe, 25, of Sandusky, was charged Thursday with operating a vehicle without reasonable control after he served to avoid a vehicle, drove off the right side of the roadway, struck a guy wire and sign before his vehicle came to a rest on its top on Ohio 49. He was transported by North Central EMS to Fisher-Titus Medical Center. He was treated and released

NORWALK POLICE

A Republic Street business employee reported Thursday graffiti was spray painted on the exterior sometime within the last two weeks.

Darryl G. Jackson, 21, 12404 Craven Ave., Cleveland, was arrested Thursday on a charge of contempt. He was taken to the Huron County Jail, where he remains, unable to post the required bond.

A Bouscay Avenue resident reported Thursday a possibly abandoned Ford Escort was parked in front of the residence.

A Summit Street resident reported a domestic violence incident Friday.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded to 80 Norwood Ave. at 7:47 a.m. today to assist North Central EMS with a patient. Returned to station at 7:57.

Was dispatched to a single vehicle roll over at the intersection of Whittlesey and Schaffer at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The driver was out of the vehicle upon arrival. Returned to station at 6:40.

County coroner Jeffrey Harwood reported responding to a Greenwich residence concerning a deceased subject.

An area resident reported a possible safety hazard in connection with a road closure on Peru Hollow Road, Monroeville.

Received a call about a tan trailer that looked like it was on fire Thursday on Ohio 601, north of U.S. 20. The Norwalk Fire Department was dispatched. The sheriff's office then received numerous calls concerning the fire.

Received a call about a man who made threatening comments Thursday to his brother on E. U.S. 20, Collins.

Picked up Ross Michael Stahl, 21, of Lorain, on a warrant Thursday for failure to register as a sex offender. He was transported to the Huron County Jail, where he remains, unable to post bond.

An area resident reported an indecent exposure incident Thursday on Derussey Road, Collins.

An area resident reported Thursday someone stole a hay baler from a barn on Court Road, Collins.

An area resident reported Thursday someone is scaring young females living at a E. U.S. 20, Wakeman residential complex.

An area resident reported a possible domestic situation Thursday at a South Main Street, North Fairfield residential complex.
