good.............bye..... Judge Ridge

Sarrak

Don't worry swiss - Judge Ridge will still be around serving as a retired Judge when the court needs him. New judges always get conflicted out of cases when they first take the bench because of people they represented prior to becoming a Judge.

Truckstop

Best wishes for and good luck to Judge Weisenburger. Judge Ridge, thank you for your service to our county. You did an excellent job at an often thankless job and you will surely be missed.

Thank you Judge Ridge for your service and impeccable integrity.

Best wishes on your retirement

There are factual problems with your comment:

First, the choice was made by the Governor not the voters.

Second, if you are talking about the primary the choice for the nomination was between 3 people not 2.

Third, the general election choice is going to be between 2 people but it has not yet occurred.

Fourth, it is not clear whether you are talking about a custody case or a divorce, but in either instance there are very few, if any, happy about the results of those types of cases, in Huron County or elsewhere.

Frankly, if Judge Cardwell didn't follow the GAL it sounds like one of those cases where he had to pick between awful alternatives for the children. I always feel sorry for the children in those cases. I doubt if the Lawyers were the problem in the case.

I am sorry about what happened with your kids, it sucks when you know it's a effed up situation and no one will listen. Almost like "Alice" in the rabbit hole. I've known of other cases similar to yours and seen the anger and frustration. And I also understand there are secrets in this town that are swept under the rug that people know about but don't talk about.Again, I'm very sorry but please don't give up. Keep fighting, be there for your kids and don't step out of their lives- a ruling of permanent custody does not mean it's permanent-the ruling can ALWAYS be reversed! Trust me, I know from experience!

Thank you happy

hor mone

I caint need this much "representation" and still be legitimate.

Lets see how this guy handles justice. More slaps on hands for drug offenses or give them reason to clean up.

Curtis

A municipal judge does not handle most drug offenses...they go to common pleas court. He or she may deal with minor possession of marijuana cases but that is about as involved as any municipal court judge gets. You need to learn what you are talking about BEFORE you talk about it.

Sarrak

This Judge is for Norwalk Municipal Court. Felony drug sentences will continue in Common Pleas court with Judge Conway.

Linedriver

He doesn't handle hardly any drug cases that is common pleas

Never said I was the sharpest tool in the shed. Lol. My bad.

JACKEL

Good for you to admit that.Usually everyone thinks they are an expert on everything !

seeing how Judge Ridges staff and office workers have already had one 'going away" party, complete with cake and snacks.. I am sure that there will not be a need to repeat another party on taxpayers dime... how many pats on the back and happy retirement parties do we have to pay for??

Sarrak

Swiss - he already retired in January and the retirement party then was not paid for by the taxpayers. He's been helping out at the request of the ohio supreme court until the governor got around to appointing someone to serve as the Judge until the election. I am confident Judge Ridge will continue to help out as needed for conflict cases.

swiss family

I apologize for having to wake you up out of your "coma" BUT the taxpayers might not have officially paid for the cake and punch and whatever else thy had, BUT when you have the entire staff , on company time setting up, and ordering and then enjoying the party, then you are mistaken.. we are paying them for their party...and to say that the judge was "helping out"... you are saying too that he was PAID to help out, so it really was not such a heart felt donation on his part.. he was actually getting double pay.. retirement pay and actual pay simply because he ditched out right before the end of the year with 2 weeks notice... pretty POOR JUDGEMENT, especially from someone who is supposed to use exemplary Judgement for his lively hood...

J Cooper

What is the big deal, many people retiring both in the public and private sector have retirement celebrations. Didn't your employer give you a party? I would think to get rid of you they would have thrown a massive celebration.
Get over with it already, its clear you have a personal bias against the judge, my guess you were a frequent flyer in his court. Judge Ridge is highly respected and did a great job serving Norwalk.

swiss family

your guess would be wrong I am sorry to say...

J Cooper

So your bias is just based on being a negative individual and lack of knowledge, thanks now I understand.

J Cooper

For those you are always negative, I for one would pay for your going away party, if you just would go away, standing invite.

Cliff Cannon

@ J Cooper : I totally agree with your first comment on Judge Ridge. However, your 2nd. comment gave me a belly laugh. So not only do I thank you for that,I also promise to help pay for that going away party, I hope you get to throw.

Great day to you

swiss family

if you are talking to me.... how much would you pay?????
