When you go out for a walk, take a look around. You'll see creatures in the air and crawling on the ground. Then, try to make some of them by using this craft.

You need:

2 cups (500 ml) sawdust

1 cup (250 ml) wallpaper paste

Water

Bowl

Pipe cleaner

Directions:

1. Mix the sawdust and wallpaper paste in the bowl. Slowly add water until a thick dough forms.

2. Shape the sawdust into sawdust bags. Then poke pieces of pipe cleaner into the heads for antennae. What will you name your bugs?

3. You can paint your bug when the dough is dry.

More fun ideas:

Make a whole bug collection big ones, little ones, short ones, fat ones, thin ones, scary ones and silly ones.

Collect leaves, twigs, acorns and other natural materials to glue onto cardboard for a nature collage.

Place leaves from different trees under thin sheets of paper; then rub a crayon over the tops for lead rubbings. Stape sheets together for a book about trees.
