Wright State University conferred 1,480 degrees during the spring commencement ceremonies on June 9 in WSU's Ervin J. Nutter Center. The following local residents have graduated:

Wright State University conferred 1,480 degrees during the spring commencement ceremonies on June 9 in WSU's Ervin J. Nutter Center.

The following local residents have graduated:

Jacqueline L. Eschen of Norwalk, bachelor of science degree in nursing, and Lindsey A. Wegner of Monroeville, bachelor or science in business.

Carrie Marie Minor of Berlin Heights has received the BGSU Firelands Community Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She received $750 toward her tuition for the 2007-2008 academic year.

This scholarship is available to entering freshmen and continuing students who are attending on either a full-time or part-time basis. The scholarship criteria is open. Funds for the scholarship are generously given by people in the BGSU Firelands community and through solicitation by the BGSU Firelands Foundation Board.

Minor is a 2006 graduate of Edison High School. She is a continuing freshman majoring in allied health science at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the dean's list.

She is the daughter of Ernie and Nancy Minor of Berlin Heights.

Bryan Nicholas Wood of Milan has received the BGSU Firelands Academic Tournament Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. He will receive $1,000 toward his tuition for the 2007-2008 academic year.

This scholarship is sponsored by BGSU Firelands and is awarded to graduates of the high school that places first in the annual BGSU Firelands Academic Tournament.

Woods is a 2007 graduate of Edison High School where he was involved with Edison Sound Dimension Show Choir, tennis, drama club, and choir. He earned varsity letters for choir, drama, tennis, and academics.

He is a freshman majoring in accounting.

He is the son of Dan and Tamie Wood of Milan.

Lisa Marie Elmlinger of Milan has received the William J. Parker Memorial Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $2,216 toward her tuition for the 2007-2008 academic year.

This endowed award is available to students who are enrolled on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Elmlinger is a 2007 graduate of Edison High School where she was inducted into the National Honor Society, earned an honors diploma and an academic letter and pins, was student of the quarter in math three times, and received the Presidents Award. While in high school, she participated in Spanish club, French club, drama club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Future Teachers of America and key club.

She is a freshman at BGSU Firelands.

She is the daughter of David and Pamela Elmlinger of Milan.
