Huron Co. represented at OCA YCC

Michael Sparks and Luke Worcester recently participated in the Ohio Cattlemen's Foundation Young Cattlemen's Conference as delegates from Huron County. Sparks farms 500 acres and feeds 100 head of feeder cattle each year with his family. Worcester farms 1,000 acres with his family and he owns his own purebred Limousin cow-calf herd.

Michael Sparks and Luke Worcester recently participated in the Ohio Cattlemen's Foundation Young Cattlemen's Conference as delegates from Huron County. Sparks farms 500 acres and feeds 100 head of feeder cattle each year with his family.

Worcester farms 1,000 acres with his family and he owns his own purebred Limousin cow-calf herd.

The 2007 Ohio Cattlemen's Foundation Young Cattlemen's Conference (YCC) was held August 23 to 25 at the OCA office located in Marysville with tours throughout central Ohio.

This year's conference was attended by 25 young cattlemen and women from across the state. Delegates attended the three day conference that was sponsored by Pioneer, Ohio Soybean Council and Cargill.

The conference is designed to be a leadership development program for Ohio's beef industry.
