The body of a Castalia teenager was exhumed Wednesday morning and was transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for a second autopsy.

Authorities disinterred Jacob Limberios, 19, who died in March 2012, of a gunshot wound to the head. His grave is located in Castalia Cemetery in Erie County.

The family arranged for the first autopsy after local officials refused to do one and the Sandusky County coroner ruled the death a suicide. A pathologist hired by the family indicated he believed Mr. Limberios’ death was a homicide.

The family opposed a second disinterment, done Wednesday at the order of Sandusky County Coroner Dr. John Wukie.

Tiffin attorney Dean Henry, the special prosecutor in the criminal investigation who also represents Dr. Wukie in a lawsuit filed by the family challenging the manner of the death, said he expects the autopsy to be conducted in time for the body to be buried again next week.

It's nice to see a straight forward news article on this tragedy. It seems your sister paper to the north in Sandusky has lost its way in its "tabloid like" coverage of this incident. Just a word of caution. "Thou shalt not criticize the coverage of the Sandusky Register lest you be banned from commenting on their website."

The daily updates from SR are appreciated by people who support this family. If you don't want to read the articles then don't, it's pretty simple! JUSTICE FOR JAKE!!!
