A Norwalk woman accused of selling heroin to a confidential informant has been indicted by a Huron County grand jury.
On Friday, Samantha J. Reed, 20, of 15 Fruen St., was formally charged with trafficking in heroin in connection with a Nov. 19 incident. The Norwalk Police Department coordinated the drug buy.
Reed was arrested March 29 after a meth lab-related fire on Bouscay Avenue. Norwalk police were using search warrant related to the meth lab.
"She just happened to be there," said Detective Sgt. Seth Fry, who assisted Detective Sgt. Jim Fulton with the heroin investigation. "She admitted to using the meth that was cooked at the location."
She was one of 14 people indicted by a Huron County grand jury.
Among the other defendants who were indicted Friday are:
Amber J. Boldman, 23, of 4696 Plank Road, on possession of heroin.
Holly A. Daniel, 22, of 2165 Dogtown Road, Monroeville, on possession of heroin.
Michael D. Dickman, 25, of 18 Amber Way, on possession of heroin and possession of oxycodone.
And Dustin S. Howell, 27, whose address wasn't provided, on possession of oxycodone.

Boldman was a passenger in a car pulled over in early February on Ohio 601 by Huron County Sheriff's Deputy Joshua Kaufman.
Kaufman stopped the silver Pontiac for an equipment violation.
During the course of interviewing the vehicle's occupants, deputies learned there was an arrest warrant for Boldman in Erie County.
So Boldman was taken into custody, and a search of the vehicle revealed suspected heroin in the passenger's seat where she had been sitting, deputies said.
Boldman then was taken to the local jail and held on felony drug charge.
In January 2012, an Erie County grand jury indicted Boldman on one count of heroin possession. She lived in Sandusky at the time.

Daniel was one of three people arrested on drug-related charges in February after a joint investigation by the Huron County Sheriff's Office and the Norwalk Police Department.
Arrested were Daniel and her boyfriend, Roger James, 24, of 52 South Old State Road, Apt. A.
Vincent Poland was also arrested.
"We have been investigating them (James and Daniel) selling and using heroin for a couple of weeks now," said Det. Sgt. Josh Querin of the sheriff's department.
"We conducted a buy-bust operation today where four bindles of suspected heroin was purchased.
"The buy-bust took place in Norwalk and the seller, Roger James, was arrested after the transaction. A search warrant was prepared and was executed at the same time he was taken into custody.
"Both admitted they have a heroin problem. There was a small amount of heroin found at the house and numerous pieces of heroin paraphernalia.
"There was approximately $400 at the scene as well. A third subject by the name of Vincent Poland, who was recently released from prison, was arrested for possession of a drug abuse instrument."
Daniel was arrested for complicity to trafficking in heroin and possession or heroin. James was arrested for trafficking in heroin. They are all incarcerated. Roger and Holly will have a bond hearing, probably over the weekend, and Poland's bond was set at 10 percent of $5,000.
"We've been working on it about 10 days. It was a great investigation between the two agencies. They (James and Daniel) admitted they were making trips to Cleveland to make the purchases."
