Christopher J. Barman, 43, of 2257 Cole Creek Drive, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Monday on Ohio 61 after his vehicle hit the vehicle driven by Daniel M. Biddle, 36, of Lexington.

M'VILLE POLICE

Charged a 14-year-old North Pleasant Street, Norwalk, boy with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (joy-riding), going left of center, driving without a license and a curfew violation in connection with an Ohio 99 traffic stop Saturday. Police released the driver and his two passengers, two 14-year-old Norwalk boys, to their parents.

Jason A. Hendricks, 21, of 40 S. Main St., Monroeville, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a U.S. 20 incident Sunday and released to a sober person.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded to a 28 Chatham St. bonfire at 8:41 p.m. Monday. The owner extinguished fire. Returned to station at 9:10.

A Milan Avenue resident reported vehicle damage Monday.

A Jefferson Street resident reported his iPod was stolen Monday, but later was recovered.

A Townsend Avenue resident reported possible child abuse Monday.

A Bank Street resident filed a garbage complaint Monday.

A Maple Street resident reported their child's BMX bike was stolen Monday.

A local resident reported losing a diamond pendant near an uptown business Wednesday.

Some homemade explosives were found in a West Main Street yard Monday.

A Huffy girls' bicycle was found at a Cline Street address Monday.

Timothy M. Adkins, 24, of 28 Chatham St., was issued a summons Monday and charged with open burning.

Chad R. Rothgeb, 22, of 27 W. Seminary St., was arrested today on two warrants and charged with failure to appear on contempt of court and probation violation charges. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Justin R. Wellman, 29, of Bucyrus, was arrested Monday on a Huron County Common Pleas Court warrant and charged with non-support of dependents and on a Huron County Juvenile Court warrant and charged with failure to appear. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

A U.S. 20 resident reported telephone harassment Monday.

A purse was reported lost at an Ohio 18 business Saturday.

A U.S. 250, New London, resident reported telephone harassment Monday.

Several items were stolen from a vehicle parked at an Ohio 18 business Saturday.

A Section Line 30, Bellevue, resident reported a fraud complaint Monday.

Responded to a possible domestic situation on Hartland-Center Road, Collins, Monday.

Responded to a situation where juveniles were fighting on U.S. 224, Greenwich, Monday.
