Local 8th grader aims for the sky

She might be afraid of heights, but 13-year-old Allyson Lippert isn't letting that stop her from achieving her ambition to fly private airplanes. The Norwalk Catholic School eighth-grader's fear of heights shows up mainly on the top of tall buildings and ladders. She said when she's in an airplane, she can't tell how fast it is going or its altitude. Instead, she feels as though she is floating.
