I thought we were withdrawing troops and downsizing to get ready for Iran and North Korea !The Archbishop in England asked the secretary of state when we invade all these countries if we are building The American Empire. He replied"No all we asked was a small piece of land to bury our dead we can't take home.just like we did in all of Europe and you "

This man is NOT A SOLDIER. He is a UNITED STATES MARINE. There is a big difference people. Good luck MARINE. Keep your head down and your powder dry.

I think the headline is offensive. If it was meant to be inspiring, it failed! Good luck to you young man!

Best wishes Nick..make Chesty proud. Citizen they don't know the difference. They never served. Tefelhunde. They only think they are right.

@ kURTje : As the father of 2 marines & father in law of a third. I not only join you in wishing Nick best wishes, I also plead with him to stay safe---always. Then urge him to take General Mad Dog Mattis extremely good advice for fighting a war. Semper Fi Nick

P.S. It also stinks very badly the way 4 star General Mattis was fired by Mr. Obama. Marines everywhere, no doubt are very pi$$ed by this injustice. Guess politicians don't much care for honesty.

REALLY?!?!? For calling out the NR Staff on a HORRIBLE headline?!?!? There was NOTHING that was a personal attack in there at all; no name calling, presumption of guilt, guilt by assoc., insensitivity (if anyone was being insensitive, it's the EDITOR for letting this one go out into the world; does it matter what kind of past he lived when he's fighting for the right for the American citizens to have, amongst other things, free speech. I am just sticking up for the man who is willing to risk everything by calling you out on your INSENSITIVITY!!!); nor was I trying to incite a fight. Just the facts. >points to headline!!!<

gOOd day cliff! Concur with you 100%! Here on a local level heard the same. "My son is going to West Point!" Me - "gOOd for him, what branch did you serve?" Again from him, "My boy is going to West Point!" sEE, this guy gets our doLLars , yet imo. is one of the many reasons America is the way she is. Leadership starts at the top. Chesty Puller is the man! Sadly most only value self interest.
