A Norwalk woman accused of selling heroin to a confidential informant reportedly admitted to using methamphetamine.

Samantha J. Reed, 20, of 15 Fruen St., is charged with trafficking in heroin in connection with a Nov. 19 incident. The Norwalk Police Department coordinated the drug buy.

Reed was arrested Friday after a meth lab-related fire on Bouscay Avenue. Norwalk police were using search warrant related to the meth lab.

"She just happened to be there," said Detective Sgt. Seth Fry, who assisted Detective Sgt. Jim Fulton with the heroin investigation. "She admitted to using the meth that was cooked at the location."

Norwalk Assistant Law Director Scott Christophel said Reed is considered a co-defendant in the meth lab case since she was at the apartment when police used the warrant.

Norwalk Municipal Court Judge John Ridge prohibited Reed from touching, possessing or using a drug of abuse as a condition of her $10,000 bond. Reed, who was appointed Curtis Koch, as her defense attorney, appeared in court Monday via closed circuit television for her bond hearing.

Reed's preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday.

It is about time they got her. At least now maybe NPD can stop her from killing herself or someone else. Just "happened" to be there and she is "so sorry".

so they let her out and those other people got a 100,000 bond see that is why the cop don't like the meth junkies they don't narc as fast as heroin junkies she is a heroin dealer I don't get it she was there doing the drug and selling and using but they let her out . I have seen more heroin junkie die than the meth junkies but I guess they are using both now. that way when the heroin makes them nod out they can take the meth to wake up to take more heroin. makes no sence to me
