Berlin-Milan gets 'bang for the buck'

David Snook was charged up Tuesday. The numbers are out and the Berlin-Milan School District is a big winner. "We are very proud. In fact, this is the third straight year we have achieved excellence on our report card," said Snook, superintendent of the Berlin-Milan district. "I think it says tons about our school district. No. 1, I believe it speaks to our team concept ... students and families, the school board, administrative team, the outstanding teaching staff and all of the support staff. I couldn't say enough about those groups.

"If anyone of those groups don't pull their weight, it shows up on the report card."

Berlin-Milan received 30 out of a possible 30 on the number of state indicators and a 102.7 out of 120 on the performance index score. The school met its adequate yearly progress (AYP) and is OK on its district improvement status en route to its excellence rating.
