A Norwalk man who allegedly stole an assortment of items from Walmart was arrested and charged with theft.

Norwalk Police Detective Sgt. Seth Fry said Mark D. Barnett Jr., 22, 408 Old State Road, Apt. 30., stole a lady's watch, socks, T-shirts, a food item and a greeting card. The total value of the items is worth about $40, Fry said.

Since the value is less than $1,000, Barnett has been charged with a misdemeanor.

The suspect was being detained in the security office when police arrived, Fry said, adding Barnett was cooperative.

Barnett was released early Sunday morning after serving time.

I EFFING hate WalMart,but......

WAL-MART VS. THE MORONS (NOT A JOKE)

I know lots of folks don't like Wal-Mart, but this is fascinating.

This is spot-on.

PLEASE, READ THIS TO THE END. IT IS VERY INTERESTING!!!

Wal-Mart vs. The Morons

1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.

2. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!

3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick's Day (March
17th) than Target sells all year.

4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco

K-Mart combined.

5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's largest private
employer, and most speak English.

6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.

7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and
keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.

8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought
bankruptcy.

9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.

10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are
Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.

11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur
at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.)

12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.
You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground
work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart
to fix the economy.

This should be read and understood by all Americans… Democrats,
Republicans, EVERYONE!!

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature,
it is now official that the majority of you are corrupt morons:

a. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234
years to get it right and it is broke.

b. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to
get it right and it is broke.

c. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get
it right and it is broke.

d. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it
right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to
"the poor" and they only want more.

e. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44
years to get it right and they are broke.

f. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get
it right and it is broke.

g. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our
dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of
$24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get
it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our
throats while overspending our tax dollars.

AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED
WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

jack langhals

That pretty much sums it up.I still want to know why we spend millions to find out why pig shxt smells? They could just go south of town for nothing !

swiss cheese kat

Jack , when you find out maybe you can look into why the Govt. is spending $1.5 Million to study why so many lesbians are fat.

jack langhals

Are they eating too much????????

Really are you ...

In responce to your statement on letter g. I tried contacting the department of energy a few days ago. I was transferred to four different people and was told that I had to submit any comments, questions, or concerns by email. After sending an email, I called back to see if they had recieved it. No they hadn't recieved it. Since 1977 the DOE has been trying to get the US off of foreign oil, what total bologna. I have only been studying this for 5 years, I can do this. This device would be small enough to be installed in a kitchen cupboard or closet, electrical power production in the place of dwelling, not many miles away. Portable with zero emissions, combined with an electric motor, could propel our transportation into the future. This can be modified to provide electrical power to businesses, commercial buildings, or industrial complexes. Power produced at the place where it is needed. It could be modified to run electrically operated lawn care equipment. We could send people beyond the limits of where we are limited to by the need of combusting some kind of propellant. So many new doors of opportunity will immediately open. This is not a Solyndra or another failed attempt at trying to get off of foreign oil. I wasn't calling or emailing the DOE for money or any type of funding, this is a game changer, and I needed to find out what to do next. I feel like I am running at full speed in mid air, obviously going nowhere. I can do this, what the DOE has been trying to accomplish since 1977, right here and right now. But I have a pretty good feeling that the higher levels of government are making too much money off of oil right now to care about the State of the Union, or the People of the United States of America.

I would honestly love to hear more about that.

Really are you ...

If the suspect needs a good lawyer and read the article following this one.

If the suspect needs a good lawyer have him read the article following this one.

America's number one source of foreign oil is Canada not Saudi Arabia, and, the U.S. is now the second in the world for domestic oil production.

Windy

Then why does gas jump 20 cents a gallon whenever someone "hiccups" in the Middle East?

Really are you ...

If we were to close all of our shipping ports and not accept anything imported from foreign countries, would our standards of living change? Would Walmart turn into the United States biggest grocery store?

earlduck

rickross2,you didn't give source of all that walmart info,i doubt it to be all true

rickross2

I'm like the government, I don't have any facts to back up my statement. I put out the information I want people to believe, and hope they believe it. We can't muddle up my agenda with facts. Geez!!!!

Cliff Cannon

@rickross2: I read that extremely interesting wal-mart stat both in an email forward as well as on a facebook forward. Personally,I believe it to be true.

Because for some reason 'truth' always has it's own 'ring'. And that wal-mart stat, at least for me, has that special ring. Thank-you for posting it.
