READERS FORUM - Woman deserves apology

I'm hesitant to write a letter of criticism ... you always do a wonderful job of printing my articles, promoting my events, etc. However, I must tell you that I am very disappointed in the article in yesterday's (Aug. 2) paper about the well known citizens drinking in the ball park. What on earth were you thinking when you chose to include the information about Mindy Knoll? She was fired, convicted, sentenced. Now she is on probation, working elsewhere, and trying very hard to put her life and her family back together.

Did you consider what harm would be done to her and her family by your printing this information? Are you suggesting that the trauma of that 2004 incident is what led Chris Harkness to drink at the park? Did Mindy supply the alcohol? I think you owe Mindy an apology.
