With six new firefighters on board in the past two years, the Norwalk Fire Department is taking on a new look.
"We've had one-third of the department retire in the past two years," Chief Shawn Dickerson said.
Dickerson has been chief now for 20 months. "It's a very challenging and rewarding job," he said. "It's a very dynamic position with a lot of work to do."

Great Job Chief !!! You have done an outstanding job for NFD. In the past 20 months you did more than Coletta ever did ! I am sure the bills are being paid and fire inspections are done in the city now. God help the City Of Willard if Coletta gets hired as the assistant fire chief.
Wow topdog. Bashing one of the nicest and most knowledgeable guy that I know in the field. If you have an axe to grind, why don't you do it in an appropriate way?
