The Huron County Fair's second annual "Rough Truck Contest" is slated for 7:30 p.m. Aug 17. The entry fee is $30 and the total purse is $3,000.

The competition is open to any stock vehicle. The drivers must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, have an operative seat belt, wear a helmet and sign a release to hold harmless the Huron County Agricultural Society.

Tube frames, tractor tires, bar tires, after-market grooving, rear engines or any loose items in the vehicle are not allowed. Rollbars are required on all soft top vehicles and can be added to stock vehicles for safety.

Huron County Agricultural Society (fair board) Directors will make the final decisions. There must be at least 30 trucks entered, and the drivers meeting will be held at 7:15 p.m.
