The Bellevue Police Department, at the request of Bellevue City Schools Superintendent Kim Schubert, conducted a K-9 search of the Bellevue Middle and Senior High Schools this morning.
Police called in 10 K-9s from area law enforcement agencies for the search. After the police dogs alerted to several vehicles and lockers, a search was completed by school personnel.
In two vehicles at the Bellevue Senior High School, items of drug paraphernalia were found, Bellevue police said. Charges will be filed against two people.

And we're supposed to be shocked why? It's Bellevue! It's not like anyone from there is a saint.
No one's a saint in any other town , either, I just hope Shubert keeps an eye on the parking lots... the old junior high had lots of deals going down after school under everyone's noses... and it's not as though they were not warned about it back then.
Be warned Norwalk, Clyde, Willard, etc.. they should do this to all the districts on a semi - regular basis.
oh oh here we go with the double posts again.
Maybe it's time to check on other LOCAL high school's! Get with the program!! Drugs are at every high school ! ! ! ! Coaches know it! They look past it just to have the "good" players on there teams! What a joke!
You bet coaches know it... they are part of the problem....
Good for Bellevue Schools. Commitment to showing their students that drugs will not be ignored and extra pat on the back for them being willing to stick their neck out and risk the PR impact. More schools need to show the courage to do what is right.
They need that in Willard
And this time don't give the kids warning that they are coming.
When I was a kid, we had drug searches monthly it seems like. 1 dog, 2 cops. WTF did they need 10 dogs for? Good for Bellevue, I imagine the paraphinalia was used needles.
Ahem it's not every school, did you not see the article were they searched St Paul's? And found nothing! Right, sometimes it pays to pay for a better school oh and P.s they did the parking lots also
WHATEVER!! St. Pauls kids just know how to hide it better! Drug test them if you really want to know whats up!
Wow, did you go to St Paul. They have drugs too. Just better and hiding it. Pretty sure there was a case of ADHD drugs being sold/traded a few months back, oh that was swept under the rug too. St Paul is NOT a better school, they just have a high and mighty religion to hide behind.
That's right they have been having random searches at local schools so maybe do so research before u talk smack
I would wonder what if they did that to Sandusky,,Only two is a good number. Sandusky im sure would be more like 10 +
When I was in school
Serious drug
MIDOL
The thing I love the most about this article is that Mrs. Schubert used the expensive alert system we have here in Bellevue to notify all of the parents immediately after the lockdown had occurred to advise us that "upon conclusion of the search, no drugs had been found on either campus." I expected so much more from her than to have her directly lie to the parents like that. She has always been more of an administrator working for the good of the kids and the district; when did she change and become just another politician?
I think its just part of the system now to lie as though its no big deal, just like everything else in this country, deny, deny, deny, then when your found guilty on paper, you just say"we didn't see that" or something to that effect.
