The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisory for Huron County and the surrounding areas.

The advisory remains in effect until noon Wednesday.

Snow will overspread the area during the late afternoon or evening, with the heaviest snow expected tonight. The snow will taper off Wednesday morning.

The average snow accumulation throughout the region will be 3 to 5 inches, but in Huron County that total is expected to be less, perhaps 1 to 3 inches.

Winds of 15 to 25 mph will come from the northeast, and temperatures will be in the lower 30s. Some blowing and drifting snow is likely, and visibility could be less than one half mile at times. All of this could make for difficult travel on untreated roads.

Yep! Heaviest snow of the season, they claimed! After living as I have, I have come to the conclusion that the weather will be exactly the opposite of the "for casters" predictions....Better off to look out your window and trust your eyes!
