Ruth Marie Harp of Norwalk has received the Huron County Medical Auxiliary Endowment Fund for Health Careers Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $1,684 toward her tuition for the 2006-2007 academic year. This scholarship, established by former Huron County Medical Auxiliary, is awarded annually to a Huron County resident who is majoring in a health career excluding psychology. Freshman and continuing students pursuing studies on a part-time and full-time basis are eligible. Financial need is a priority for consideration.

Ruth Marie Harp of Norwalk has received the Huron County Medical Auxiliary Endowment Fund for Health Careers Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $1,684 toward her tuition for the 2006-2007 academic year.

This scholarship, established by former Huron County Medical Auxiliary, is awarded annually to a Huron County resident who is majoring in a health career excluding psychology. Freshman and continuing students pursuing studies on a part-time and full-time basis are eligible. Financial need is a priority for consideration.

Harp is a 1990 graduate of Culleoka High School in Culleoka, Tenn. While in high school she received the Culleoka Indian Award and an Award for Outstanding Participation in Tennessee Mock Trial State Competition.

She is a sophomore majoring in nursing at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the dean' list and serves as president of the Women's On-line Resource Group. She has also been on the National's Dean's List and been inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta honor society.

She is married by Bradley Harp and she is the daughter of Clarence Whitt and Ruth Caudle.

Keelie Suzann Webb of Norwalk has received the Grace L. Keller Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $1,116 toward her tuition for the 2007-2008 academic year.

Grace Keller has always valued education. She is the mother of six grown children, most of whom have received their undergraduate and graduate degrees. Keller recognizes the crucial and valuable role that BGSU Firelands holds in the community. This scholarship is available to a continuing student at BGSU Firelands. The recipient must possess a minimum 3.3 grade point average and be studying in the College of Education and Human Development.

Webb is a 2005 graduate of Norwalk High School where she was inducted into National Honor Society and participated in soccer, key club, foreign language club and art club.

She is a junior majoring in early childhood education at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the dean's list.

She is the daughter of Tim and Suzie Webb of Norwalk.

Sarah Ann Butke of Norwalk has received the Dr. George F. Linn Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She received $2,186 toward her tuition for the 2007-2008 academic year.

This scholarship, in memory of Dr. George F. Linn, prominent educator who taught in Huron and Erie counties, is available to recipients interested in the teaching profession. One undergraduate scholarship is awarded to a valedictorian, salutatorian or like meritorious scholar who expresses an interest in math and science. A recommendation from an area school administrator is required for this scholarship.

Butke is a 2001 graduate of Huron High School.

She is a graduate student majoring in early childhood education and has been on the dean's list multiple times.

She has been involved with after school tutoring and softball.

She is the daughter of Thomas and Barb Butke.

Lindsey Phillips of Norwalk has been named to the Eastern Michigan University's dean's list for the winter 2007 semester in college of arts and science.

James Douglas Kasten, son of Dr. and Mrs. James D. Kasten of Norwalk, has been named to the Vanderbilt University dean's list for the spring 2007 semester.

To qualify for the dean's list, students must receive grades equivalent to a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Alexzandria Wasco of Milan has been named to the dean's list at John Carroll University.

To qualify for the dean's list, students must carry at least 12 hours during the semester and earn a 3.5 quality grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
