(UPDATED with suspect's vehicle type) The Norwalk post of the state Highway Patrol is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a driver who fled the scene of a recent two-vehicle collision.

Troopers describe the driver as a man in his mid-40s who is about 6 feet tall. He has facial piercings and was wearing a Carhart jacket. The suspect was driving a black Dodge pickup truck.

Just before 3 p.m. Friday, the other driver, Morgan L. Shultz, 29, of Medina, was northbound on Olivesburg Greenwich Road in Greenfield Township.

The suspect, who was eastbound on Baseline Road, failed to stop for the stop sign and was hit by Shultz's vehicle, Trooper Matthew Gramlich said in his report. It's unclear how the man fled the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to call the patrol at (419) 668-3711.

Is this some kind of joke? What happen to all the special powers, criminal indicators and all that stuff. All of a sudden their stumped, maybe it's the Turnpike Patrol they need help from.

mad hatter?

Take notice, any man in his mid-forties about six feet tall be prepared for a felony take down. Oh wait I guess that covers all men since it seems like LEO cannot tell the difference from a 6'2" 235lbs and 5'10" 160lbs. Right Mike?

What kind of vehicle was he driving? Color? Chevy, Ford, Dodge? Not a lot to go on..I guess we just turn in every guy that fits that description..

Thanks for mentioning that — I added the vehicle type to the story. I must have missed when it when I was typing it up.

Well now that they have narrowed it down, they will just be stopping any man in a truck that has some black on it

First it's a robbery and now this I can't drive my truck anywhere around this town. LOL
