Police seize 17 pot plants

Authorities seized 17 marijuana plants in two Townsend Township fields early Tuesday afternoon. The Crandal Road plot was "out in the middle of nowhere" and had seven plants that were 4 feet tall, Huron County Sheriff's Capt. Bob McLaughlin said. The second plot, on Angling Road, was about 100 yards from the nearest residence and had 10 plants which were 5 feet tall.
