Western Reserve dedicates alumni memorial gardens

The Western Reserve Alumni Memorial Gardens dedication took place Sunday on the school grounds in front of the memorial built to honor the former Hartland, Townsend and Wakeman schools. Denise Wolfe, chairperson of the committee responsible for the memorial, and Jeff Wolfe, committee member and designer of the structure, gave a history of the memorial and the role of the Western Reserve Alumni Association in its inception. They thanked the other committee members, including Tammy and Mike Sommers, Norm Butler, Joan Wikel and Brandon Sommers, who worked on the memorial for his Eagle Scout project.
