An Indiana man is facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized seven pounds of marijuana, worth nearly $32,000 following a traffic stop in Jackson County.
Troopers stopped a 2012 Nissan 4 door, with Minnesota registration, for a marked lanes violation on US 35, near milepost 9, at 11:43 p.m. Thursday. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed seven pounds of marijuana located in a backpack in the vehicle’s trunk.
Andrew P. Riggen, 27, of Garrett, Ind., was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail, and charged with possession of marijuana, a third-degree felony. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.

I'm really sick of seeing stories in the Reflector and Register that have no meaning to our area. Where exactly is Jackson County? Why do I care about the pot seized there? Oh right, I don't.
It's less drugs that can make its way to our area.
Yeah, I guess. But this is one of many stories that are in the paper daily, most of the others have no affect or meaning to our area what so ever.

MARKED LANE VIOLATION ... in other words ... the cops were tipped off that a shipment was coming thru Ohio in suspect's car. After following the suspect for 20 - 30 miles ... the only thing they could stop the him for was this changing lanes without using his signal. Whatever it takes to get the junk off the streets I guess.
