JFS director Lowell Etzler: 'We are on the right track'

During the past few months, the Toledo field office of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services has completed both a limited review and an annual review regarding the performance of the Children Services Unit within the Huron County Job and Family Services Agency. The summary of the limited review highlighted "significant improvements in ensuring the availability of supervisory staff to make certain both appropriate and timely screening decisions are completed as well as the thoroughness of investigatory activities. Significant improvements have been made in the provision of line supervision to ensure casework issues are promptly addressed so that casework staff is equipped and able to manage cases effectively and appropriately."
