A Greenwich man faces a number of charges for allegedly fleeing from Huron County Sheriff's deputies.

John D. Hunt, 30, of 6 Railroad St., was stopped in a vehicle by Deputy John Vogel at a Baseline Road location near Plymouth on Friday afternoon.

Hunt attempted to flee the scene and was pursued by Vogel, who then arrested him and transported him to jail.

Hunt was originally wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.

He now faces the additional charges of resisting arrest and failure to comply with an order from a police officer.

Police reported bond is not an option for Hunt, as he must appear at Norwalk Municipal Court.
