Lu (Grote) Simon was one of the first women to enlist in the Women Marines in 1943.

Wow,she was a real hero, like the ladies that ferried the aircraft to Europe.Why don't we honor them when they are with us? I used to call Ed Still most Veteran Day's and thank him !
