A convicted thief is being held without bond until his next probation violation hearing in Huron County Common Pleas Court.

Jesse H. Moore, 24, of 415 W. Tiffin St., Willard, is accused of violating his probation by not completing a term in a community-based corrections facility (CBCF). Defendants spend four to six months in a CBCF, a form of prison which focuses on substance abuse treatment and education.

Moore also reportedly tested positive for opiates at the Huron County Jail, Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Daivia Kasper said.

"He voluntarily signed himself out (of the CBCF). ... He didn't continue with the program there," Kasper said.

Huron County Public Defender David Longo said Moore left the CBCF because he was concerned about relapsing since he was surrounded with drugs because other people were bringing them back to the facility after their furloughs.

"Mr. Moore was doing his best. He was one step away from finishing the IOP program," Longo said.

After Moore left the CBCF, he had a relapse, his attorney added.

Moore had pleaded guilty to theft for an incident between March 5 and 6. As part of a plea deal, prosecutors agreed to dismiss one count each of breaking and entering and receiving stolen property.

In October, Moore was ordered to pay $50 in restitution to the male victim to replace some padlocks and $100 in restitution to the Willard Police Department.

His next hearing is Feb. 25.

Whatthewhat

This is the reason we should allow crack heads to go into these treatment places!!! Never works and never will. Lock this dirt bag up and throw away the key!!!!

Yall Make Me Sick

So quick to judge are we? Do you know the situation? Nope you're just making judgments before you know the story! Don't try & say that NR posted the whole story either. Best clean you're house before telling someone else theirs is dirty!

Whatthewhat

Are you serious? I for one have never done drugs been arrested or had my picture plastered on the NR!! But hey those drug tests he keeps failing must all be wrong! Right?

tadpole

What do you not understand about the word, 'thief'? He's probably "cleaned" a few houses himself. He's a thief!

enough of the bs

It doesn't matter the whole story, he's gotten away with so much he deserves anything he gets and so much more!!

JUDGE CONWAY PLEASE READ PARAGRAPH #5............".LONGO SAID MOORE LEFT CBCF BECAUSE HE WAS CONCERNED ABOUT RELAPSING...SINCE HE WAS SURROUNDED WITH DRUGS BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE WERE BRINGING THEM BACK TO THE FACILITY AFTER THEIR FURLOUGHS" I would suggest that someone make a plaque out of that, and put it in Conways and Leffler's Offices!!!!!!!!

believe it

I can't believe anyone would stick up for this piece of crap. The story says it all...but then look at the picture, Wow! He looks hideous!

Go ahead sit behind you're computer & bust a CAPLOCKS in somebody! People who have tats are not bad people. People can change. At least he admitted he needed taken out of the situation & maybe made them aware of why people wanna go to this place cause they don't have to break the habit! Good for you you've never been arrested or been in jail or plastered in the NR reflector. Neither have I.

believe it

Tats aren't even really the problem(although neck tats are pretty ridiculous, good luck getting a real job with that) but look at his eyes. I think he's going to burn a hole in me everytime I look at the picture. And the hair? Seriously though, good luck getting a job someday man(I'm sure that's not a priority for this guy though).

So this kid was on probation for let me guess...drug use that was 100% linked to a breaking and entering gone bad. He had to get money to get his fix. Then he missed his term in a txt facility once on probation, relapsed and then tested positive for opiates when he was arrested.

Yes, this most certainly sounds like this guy has learned his lesson and is on the path to a better life (insert sarcasm).

More Willard TRASH for ya.

wow.. this guy is never going to get his life together. its pathetic. he has kids too. hasnt been in their lives since they were born. he is a pathetic loser. doing drugs and constantly being in jail is more important to him. what a disgrace this man is. he has no responsibilitys at all. and his mom just lets him get away with everything. it dont bother her that he is not being a father to all of his kids.. they are all trash and a pathetic family.
