Two local organizations creating combined memorial.

A dream by the Huron County Firefighters Association and Northern Ohio FOOLS is about to come true.

The two organizations had been considering making two memorials -- to acknowledge the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and one to honor the firefighters who died in the line of duty in Huron County -- for several years.

Eventually, the combined memorial became a reality. A front-page story about this subject was published in Tuesday's Reflector.

I am glad to see this dream come true... there have been so many amazing and self less citizens who risked it all to protect us.. I am glad to see them get the official gratitude and recognition that they deserve..

Any idea of which firefighters we've lost in the line of duty in Huron County?
