Scott M. Crabtree, 37, of 147 N. West St., was charged with failure to control Tuesday after he went off the west side of Ohio 61 and hit a utility pole.

Adam R. Roderick, 20, of 27 Chatham St., was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Thursday after he hit the rear of the vehicle driven by Charles M. Stever, 43, of 12518 Wikel Road, Milan, who was waiting to make a left turn off U.S. 250.

George L. Nickoli Jr., 58, of 400 S. Norwalk Road, hit a deer Friday on Laylin Road.

Kurtis R. Hindel, 20, of 2841 S. Meadow Lane, was charged with rules for starting and backing a vehicle Saturday after backing into the front of the motorcycle driven by Robert A. Jurs, 69, of Huron, at the intersection of Ohio 601 and Ohio 18.

Troopers are investigating an accident Saturday in which the driver of an unknown vehicle attempted to turn right onto Arcade Road from Ohio 18, went off the left side of Ohio 18 and hit a stop sign.

Betsy M. Tipton, 19, of 3772 Ohio 598, Willard, was charged with failure to control Sunday after she failed to negotiate a left curve while heading north on Section Line Road 30 and went off the right side. She hit a utility pole and utility junction box before stopping in a ditch.

Dereck V. Diesing, 29, whose address was unavailable, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Whittlesey Avenue incident Friday. He was held in the city jail until sober.

Responded to two reports of a suspicious van at Veterans Memorial Lake Park where a male suspect was accused of smoking marijuana Friday. Mark L. Delvalle, 33, whose address was unavailable, was charged with possession of marijuana.

An area resident reported losing his wallet Friday, which was turned in later with nothing missing.

A State Street resident reported the theft of a compact disc case containing about 70 CDs, hair straightener, three or four sunglasses and a pine tree air freshener from her unlocked car Friday.

An Adams Street resident reported telephone harassment Friday.

An employee of a Monroe Street business reported a dog jumped up and bit him along his nose and chin while delivering a newspaper Friday on Fairway Circle. Police forwarded a report to the Huron County General Health District.

Tammy K. Dewiel, 37, of 4719 W. Collins Road, Collins,, was arrested on five warrants and charged with failure to pay fines and costs on various original charges Saturday. She is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

Seized the license plates and vehicle of Brian Lonsway, whose age and address weren't available, after he was charged with driving under the influence in connection with a West Main Street traffic stop Saturday. This is his second DUI in six years.

A North Prospect Street resident reported domestic violence Saturday and the suspect fled, but was located later running north on Prospect. Guillermo B. Zamano Jr., 18, whose address was unavailable, was charged with underage consumption and disorderly conduct and held in the city jail until sober.

Dispatchers received a report of an area motorist saying she was going to run her vehicle into a tree Saturday after leaving Woodlawn Avenue. The woman, found at a relative's Ontario Street home, denied being suicidal, but agreed to speak to a mental health professional at Fisher-Titus Medical Center after mentioning problems with depression.

Responded to a vehicle with a flat tire and cracked inner wheel well Sunday on Benedict Avenue, where the driver said he hit something metallic in the road.

Ray O. Trice, 24, of 11 Williams St., Monroeville, was arrested on three warrants Sunday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. He is being held in the Huron County Jail until his Norwalk Municipal Court hearing.

Heather M. Troxell, 19, whose address was unavailable, was charged with driving under the influence, underage consumption, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and an open container violation in connection with a Cleveland Road traffic stop Sunday. Her passenger, Stanislaw J. Gacek, 22, whose address was unavailable, was charged with an open container violation.
