An area woman pleaded guilty Monday to trafficking in heroin in the vicinity of a juvenile.
Kristy L. Dunn, 30, of Oberlin, was convicted of a fourth-degree felony. She faces six to 18 months behind bars when she is sentenced Feb. 28.
In exchange for the guilty plea, Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Richard Woodruff agreed to dismiss a third-degree felony from another related case.
Dunn was charged with intimidation of a witness in connection with a Sept. 12 incident. Attorneys have said the defendant reportedly threatened to physically harm a female witness involved in the drug transaction which happened March 14. Woodruff said Dunn sold 2 grams of heroin to a confidential informant.
The defendant, who earlier posted a $10,000 bond, isn't eligible for a prison sentence because she has no prior felony convictions.
