HIGHWAY PATROL

Darren J. Bess, 31, of 786 U.S. 250, New London, was cited for reasonable control Tuesday on U.S. 250 after his vehicle exited the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.

Rebecca L. Yarber, 26, of Rome-Greenwich Road, North Fairfield, was cited for opposite directions Wednesday on Rome-Greenwich Road after her vehicle sideswiped a vehicle driven by Marvin Cook, 52, of Seville.

Zachary D. Moomey, 21, of 5571 U.S. 20, Wakeman, was cited for reasonable control and operating a vehicle while intoxicated Thursday on Ohio 18 after his vehicle exited the roadway, striking a ditch and tree. A passenger, Jenna J. Terlizzi, 18, of 5810 U.S. 20, Wakeman, was transported to Fisher-Titus Medical Center by Sandra Moomey, where she was treated and released.

Sherry A. Gee, 33, of 531 Cottonwood Drive, Willard, was cited for reasonable control Thursday on County Road 8 after her vehicle exited the roadway, hit a ditch and overturned. She was transported to Mercy Hospital of Willard by Willard EMS. Her condition would not be released by Willard Mercy.

Joshua A. Lieb, 30, of Sandusky, was cited for failure to yield Thursday at the intersection of U.S. 20 and Prairie Road after his vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Alys J. Salyers, 41, of Bellevue. Both drivers were transported to The Bellevue Hospital. Neither driver was on the in-patient list at The Bellevue Hospital this morning.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded to 136 W. Washington St. at 11:40 p.m. Thursday for an open burning complaint. Told resident to attend the fire and to not burn so late at night. Returned to station at 12:21 a.m.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 80 Whittlesey Ave. at 4:12 p.m. Thursday. Returned to station at 4:29.

Responded to an alarm activated by a power outage at 100 Furniture Parkway at 2:55 p.m. Thursday. Returned to station at 3:20.

NORWALK POLICE

Ruth A. Ringle, 47, of 142 Pearl St., New London, was cited for failure to yield Thursday at the intersection of Old State Road and Woodlawn Avenue after her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Cory W. Beamer, 18, of 6 Jeffrey Way.

Joshua D. Risner, 34, and Joseph P. Hersha, 29, no addresses available, were each arrested on multiple warrants Thursday and must sit 10 days at the county jail. Risner's warrants were for failure to appear, while Hersha's were for failure to pay fines and costs.

Brian K. Wildman, 36, no address available, was arrested Thursday on several local warrants. He posted bond and paid fines and was released after setting a new pay agreement.

Nicholas A. Westlake, 20, no address available, was arrested Thursday on two Shelby Police Department warrants for failure to pay fines and costs. He was transported to New Haven to be picked up by Shelby police.

Steven L. Hewitt, 21, no address available, was arrested Thursday on a Sandusky police warrant. He was transported to Sandusky officers at Scheid Road.

A North Pleasant Street resident told police 60 compact discs were stolen from their vehicle Thursday.

A West Washington Street resident told police their fence was damaged Thursday.

A Chenango Road, New London, resident reported a low-hanging wire Thursday.

An Ohio 162, Monroeville, resident reported a suspicious person Thursday.

Responded to a domestic dispute on Coffee Pot Court, Willard, Thursday.

A U.S. 20, Monroeville, resident reported fraud Thursday.

Received multiple calls about storm damage in the New London area Thursday.

Timothy J. Howell, 27, of 1003 S. Main St., was arrested Thursday on a local warrant. He must sit 10 days at the county jail.

A U.S. 250 resident told police their tires were slashed Thursday.

A North Greenfield Road, Willard, resident told police a person was riding a motorcycle at a high rate of speed Thursday.

A U.S. 250 resident told police Thursday someone stole lawn ornaments off the property.

Assisted Wakeman police at a traffic stop on U.S. 20 Thursday.

Responded to a custody dispute on Zenobia Road Thursday.

A Thomas Road, Willard, resident reported unruly children Thursday.
