Pauline Cring, Carl Williams, Lynn Borgia, Sylvia Marcum and Florence Nickoli were honored at the monthly birthday party this week. Favorite entertainers Larry Russell and Friends kept things lively as they encouraged group participation. Everyone enjoyed cake, ice cream and punch to top off the afternoon.

Dads were “King” as they were treated to an evening family get-together where the menu chosen by them featured pizza, chicken wings, salad, breadsticks, cherry or apple pie with ice cream and non-alcoholic beer or root beer soda. Thanks to Donna Sue, guests were able to enjoy the Gospel music that she provides.

Iverna held her monthly cooking class, Heather conducted an hour of crafting and Kathy gathered residents for the showing of “Heidi,” starring Shirley Temple. Employees were encouraged to cast their vote for Fair King and Queen this week.

Mrs. Hipp and Mrs. Smith assisted with Catholic worship and Mr. Fisher led Bible study. Bingo was played on both Tuesday and Thursday and residents did a little bird watching during an afternoon outing. Janet brought “Miss Pinkie” in for pet visit and karaoke artist Lori Burdine provided entertainment for end-of-the-week happy hour.
