Two drivers charged with DUI

Two drivers were charged with driving unter the influence this weekend during separate traffic stops.

At 8:55 p.m. Saturday, Kenneth L. Pearson, 45, of Columbus, was charged by Huron County Sheriff's deputies with driving under the influence in connection with a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 250 and Union Road. Passenger Anthony L. Pearson, 41, of Tampa, Fla., was charged with an open container violation and transported to the Huron County Jail.

At 10:45 p.m. Friday, Kenneth W. Rosa, whose age and address weren't provided, was charged with driving under the influence in connection with an Old State Road traffic stop near Woodlawn Avenue. Norwalk olice reported finding an opened bottle of Black Velvet whiskey sitting on the passenger seat of the truck and seized it as evidence.
