A heroin defendant pleaded innocent to a felony charge Thursday in Huron County Common Pleas Court.

Beat, who earlier posted 10 percent of a $5,000 bond, is subject to random drug screens. Her trial is March 19.

Also pleading innocent Thursday:

** Jeffrey P. Gibson, 37, of 2 E. Main St., Greenwich, on one count each of breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools, both in connection with a Nov. 14 incident. His trial date is March 21. Gibson is out, having earlier posted 10 percent of a $5,000 bond.

** Todd A. McCallister, 20, of Wellington, on two forgery charges and one count each of theft of checks and theft of a credit card, all in connection with a Nov. 29 incident. The former New London resident earlier posted a $5,000 bond. His trial is set for March 19.
