Exercise classes for seniors

FTMC's Seniors Stay Strong and Seniors Keep Moving programs are now offered as mix-and-match sessions and are on a drop-in basis. Attend 12 sessions of Seniors Keep Moving and/or Seniors Stay Strong for $27.50, PrimeCare Advantage discount for $25. To sign up, join a free trial class.

Seniors Stay Strong: Mondays and Wednesdays, 8 a.m., Ernsthausen Community Center, 100 Republic St., Norwalk. Class designed to tone and strengthen muscles.

Seniors Keep Moving: Tuesdays, Ernsthausen Recreation Center, 100 Republic St., and Thursdays, Carriage House-Garden Level, Fisher-Titus Parkway, enter at Shady Lane Drive (both classes at 9 a.m.) Fitness class targeting balance, endurance, strength and flexibility for seniors.

Helmets for Kids program

BERLIN HEIGHTS - Does your child need a new bicycle helmet? A team of volunteers will properly fit children 18 years old and younger with a bicycle helmet as the FTMC Helmets for Kids program visits Berlin Heights. Helmets will be fitted from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 27 at Berlin Heights Park, off Memorial Drive, Berlin Heights. The event is sponsored in conjunction with the Berlin Heights Police Department.

Children must be present to ensure proper fit. A $2 donation per helmet is requested. The helmets used by FTMC comply with the safety standards of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and come in four sizes and a variety of colors.
