Norwalk driver charged with DUI

A local man stopped in Norwalk for a marked lanes violation was charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

The traffic stop involving Patrick E. Smith, 26, of 1293 S. Norwalk Road, happened at 2:56 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Milan Avenue and Westwind Drive.

Smith had a breath alcohol content level of .134, said Sgt. Brian Gockstetter, of the state Highway Patrol. The legal limit for drivers in Ohio is .08.

The driver was charged with DUI and the marked lanes violation.
