Amy E. Wellard, 37, of Bellevue, hit a deer Thursday on Section Line Road 30.

NORWALK FIRE

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 6:25 p.m. Thursday at 37 W. Main St. Returned to station at 6:37.

Responded to a call from a Spring Street apartment at 4:33 p.m. Thursday and found no problem Thursday. Returned to station at 4:40.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 2:31 a.m. today at 36 Stoutenburg Drive. Returned to the station at 2:50.

NORWALK POLICE

Valerie S. Schott, 30, of New London, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Thursday after she hit the vehicle being driven by Mary G. Vance, 44, of Mt. Vernon.

A 15-year-old Willard girl turned herself in Thursday. The missing juvenile was turned over to the Huron County Sheriff's Office.

Received a call Thursday about a possible overdose on West Main Street. North Central EMS transported the female patient to Fisher-Titus Medical Center after she took 16 Adovan pills.

Responded to a call about juveniles shooting a BB gun Thursday.

A Norwalk resident filed an identification theft report Thursday.

Richard J. Vartorella, 56, whose address was unavailable, was arrested Thursday on a warrant and charged with failure to pay fines and costs on the original charge of passing a bad check. He was released after posting bond.

Jason Makovic, 26, of 7 N. West St., was arrested Thursday on three warrants and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

A Norwood Avenue resident reported a stolen Next bicycle today.

A Townline Road 26, Willard, resident reported the theft of fuel from an outside storage tank Thursday.
