A pair of recent events have called attention to the village boundaries.
For years, North Fairfield residents Cheryll and Jack Pfanner, along with many others, they claim, have always assumed the properties at 300 N. Main St. and 3 and 5 Mill St. were inside the village limits.
Former Mayor Charlie Zeiter, who served four terms from 1963 to 1979 and also served on village council. Zeiter's wife Nancy, who served on council, lived in one of these three houses outside the village limits. Members of the Bond family occupied one of the Mill Street residences and served on council and as clerk.
Turns out, those three properties are located outside the corporation limits of North Fairfield.
A story about this subject was published in Friday's Reflector.
