A local motorist stopped for having a license plate that expired in November was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) in connection with the same traffic stop.
Angie K. Foley, 34, of 10C S. Old State Road, was stopped by Trooper Thomas Halko, of the state Highway Patrol, at 8:25 p.m. Thursday. The traffic stop happened on Greenwich Angling Road near Boughtonville Road in Greenwich Township.
Foley was charged with DUI, improper display and an open container violation. Halko reported the driver refused a sobriety test and has a previous DUI conviction.
