MILAN - A Milan woman was taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center with possible injuries after her 2006 Honda Accord flipped three times Sunday night on Jeffries Road.

Abbey L. Heilman, 23, of 13715 Jeffries Road, was heading west when she went off the right side of the road and hit a culvert, Erie County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Sigsworth said. The Honda then went through a yard in the 11000 block of Jeffries Road, rolled over three times, hit a mailbox and landed on its wheels.

Sigsworth said all the airbags deployed which might have saved Heilman, who was wearing a seatbelt and crawled out of the car after the crash.

An off-duty Berlin Township firefighter was in the area and treated Heilman until North Central EMS arrived. The driver was charged with failure to control.
