Christmas came early for Norwalk resident Michael Lorens.
Last week, Lorens was shopping at Hi-Miler, located on Townsend Avenue, when he pulled money out of his pocket just like he had a thousand times before.
What Lorens didn't notice at the time was he also had pulled out a signed check.
"The check hit the ground right then," he said. "I didn't even know I had lost it. I was getting ready to go to the bank."
Lorens said the check was for a sizable amount from a recent auction.
To find out what happened, read the story in the Reflector.

Should be Man loses, not Man's loses.
So what is the gift
Herpies.....the gift that keeps on giving.
"The check hit the ground right then," he said. "I didn't even know I had lost it.
If he knew the check hit the ground RIGHT THEN, How did he not know he lost it?
I guess I will have to go get a Reflector so I will know the rest of the story. And see what the gift is. If Paul Harvey was alive today he should be the one printing some of these stories so we would know the rest of the story on here.
