Ronnie L. Canterbury, 44, of 11 1/2 S St., Berlin Heights, was charged with failure to yield the right-of-way Sunday after hitting the vehicle driven by Kathy R. Dearth, 47, of 5810 U.S. 20, Wakeman on Ohio 162.

Kimberly A. Buss, 41, of 4045 S. Ohio 103, Willard, hit a deer Thursday on Townline Road 12.

MONROEVILLE PD

A Horseshoe Drive resident reported receiving harassing telephone calls Wednesday over a dispute involving a vehicle that the complainant sold to the suspect.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded to 15 Linwood Ave. at 1:06 a.m. today for a natural gas odor investigation. Some men were working in front of the court house and hit a natural gas line. Returned to station at 1:12.

Responded to a car leaking gas at 5:34 p.m. Thursday at the 36 Executive Drive parking lot. Firefighters cleaned up the leak and washed it down with water. Returned to station at 5:38.

Responded to a possible gas leak at 1:27 p.m. Thursday at 3 Amber Way. Firefighters didn't get any readings on the fire department monitors. Returned to station at 1:32.

NORWALK POLICE

Jose S. Hernandez, 48, of 3 W. Water St., was charged with driving without a license Thursday after he hit the vehicle driven by Jessica Woolf, no age given, of 4 West Water St.

A Newton Street resident reported the theft of two pocket knives Thursday.

Several Republic Street residents reported the theft of an aluminum baseball bat Thursday.

Jeremy Sax, 28, of Lexington, was arrested on several warrants Thursday and charged with three counts of trafficking in heroin and one count of contempt of court. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Andrea Lamp, 21, of Lexington, was arrested on several warrants Thursday and charged with three counts of complicity to trafficking in drugs. She currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Steven Hammond, 50, whose address was unavailable, was arrested on two contempt of court warrants Thursday. He was released on bond later that day from the Huron County Jail.

An area motorist reported damage to her vehicle Thursday at a Milan Avenue business.

Joseph L. Bishop, 40, of 64 Jefferson St., was arrested Thursday on a warrant and charged with failure to pay restitution on the original charge of disorderly conduct. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

An area resident reported the theft of a $400 iPod and $20 in cash Thursday at a Republic Street business.

Robert K. Faber, 21, of 23 Newton St., Apt. 3, was arrested in connection with a theft at a Milan Avenue business Thursday. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Felicia Rothgeb, 19, whose address was unavailable, was arrested Thursday on a warrant. She was charged with failure to pay fines and costs on the original charge of disorderly conduct and released.

Harold Preston Jr., 34, whose address was unavailable, was arrested Thursday on a warrant and charged with failure to pay fines and costs.

Michael S. Kuhn, 27, of Wellston, was arrested on several warrants and charged with failure to appear for an initial hearing. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

The Ontario Police Department reported having Jessica L. Sweet, 35, of 611 Wessor Ave., Willard, in custody on a Huron County Common Pleas Court warrant Thursday. She was charged with two counts of trafficking in heroin. Sweet currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

A Chenango Road, Wakeman, resident reported hearing shots fired during a suspected trespassing incident Thursday.

A Greenwich Milan Townline Road resident reported there was water in her basement Thursday.

An East U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident reported someone stole about 40 Percocet pills, $25 in cash and a $25 calling card from her vehicle Thursday.

A Peru Olena Road resident reported the theft of a bicycle Thursday.

An area motorist reported two cement trucks were causing a traffic hazard Thursday on North New State Road.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call from Coffee Pot Court, Willard, about an unwanted male suspect who refused to leave Thursday.
