Miss Maple City seeking state crown

MANSFIELD Miss Maple City 2007 Roberta Camp of Grove City and a student at The Ohio State University will represent Norwalk and Huron County at The Miss Ohio Scholarship Pageant at The Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield. The 21 contestants will arrive Friday in Mansfield from all over the state vying for the Miss Ohio 2007-2008 title and the right to represent Ohio at The Miss America Pageant.

MANSFIELD Miss Maple City 2007 Roberta Camp of Grove City and a student at The Ohio State University will represent Norwalk and Huron County at The Miss Ohio Scholarship Pageant at The Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield.

The 21 contestants will arrive Friday in Mansfield from all over the state vying for the Miss Ohio 2007-2008 title and the right to represent Ohio at The Miss America Pageant.

The preliminaries will be June 12, 13 and 14. The finals will be June 16. The Miss Ohio Outstanding Teen Pageant will be June 15.

Camp will compete June 12 in talent, June 13 in swimsuit and June 14 in evening wear. On-stage question and all interviews will be June 15.

The contestants will be at The Richland Mall from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Friday.

They will be at The Miss Ohio Festival from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday in downtown Mansfield for introductions and autographs.

The Miss Ohio Grand Parade steps off at 2 p.m. Sunday and goes through downtown Mansfield.

The contestants will waitress from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Applebee's on Lexington-Springmill Road in Ontario and Applebee's on Stander Road (I-71 and Ohio 13).

The three nights of preliminary competition begins at 7:30 p.m. and the finals on Saturday begin at 8.

Tickets for preliminary nights are $20 for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night and $40 for Saturday night or $85 for all 4 nights.

Tickets for the Miss Ohio Outstanding Teen Pageant on Friday night for 20 or all five nights for $100. Tickets can be purchased, using your credit card, by calling The Miss Ohio Office at (419) 522-6677.

The finals will be broadcast on The Ohio News Network. In Norwalk it will be Cable Channel 119. There will be a pre-taped show airing from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and the finals will be live from 8 to 10:30 p.m.
