Huron Playhouse auditions set for this weekend in Huron

The Huron Playhouse will hold open auditions for four of its five productions of the 2007 season. Auditions for the season opener, "Kiss me Kate" will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the auditorium of McCormick School on Ohio Street in Huron. The "Kiss Me Kate" auditions will be for male and female singers, as well as dancers of high school age and above.

The Huron Playhouse will hold open auditions for four of its five productions of the 2007 season.

Auditions for the season opener, "Kiss me Kate" will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the auditorium of McCormick School on Ohio Street in Huron. The "Kiss Me Kate" auditions will be for male and female singers, as well as dancers of high school age and above.

Auditions for two speaking roles for boys and girls ages 8 to 12 will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday for the season's second production, "I Remember Mama." Also, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, auditions will be held for singers and dancers in third grade through ninth for the season's third production, "Nunsense: The Mega Musical."

Lastly, for the season's closing production of "Annie," auditions for male and female singers and dancers of high school age and above will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. July 5, while special auditions for male and female youngsters in grades three through eight will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 7.
