NEW LONDON The community sidewalk and yard sale is Saturday, and the town will be filled with bargains. The event is organized by the New London Community Club and the New London Record.

Bonsai show

SANDUSKY This free show will take place at the Sandusky High School cultural center from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Summer reading program

NEW LONDON The New London Library's summer reading program, running June 11 to July 21, is called "Get a Clue," and all ages are invited to participate.

Activities include stories, crafts, line dance lessons, games and prizes, prizes, prizes. Some of the highlights will include a Super Hero's Bash for Boys June 23, when they can come dressed as their favorite super hero and two Princess Tea Parties June 30 for girls.

Stop by the library at 67 S. Main St. for a schedule of all the activities or call (419) 929-3981. The Saturday morning knitting class will not meet during the summer.

Local picnic

Firelands Historical Society members and friends will hold their annual picnic at 6:30 p.m. June 13 at the country home of Mary Carabin, 2611 Old State Road N., Norwalk. Bring a dish to share.

This will be the last meeting of the group until September.

Bracelet-making class

NEW LONDON Senior Enrichment Services in Norwalk is holding a bracelet-making class at noon Monday in the community room at Windy Acres Apartments. The cost is $2 a person, and everyone will make a beaded red, white and blue bracelet with charms.

Sandusky Ski Club
