Twenty-one Milan Township firefighters responded to a truck fire at the Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership facility Sunday night.

Freudenberg is located at 11617 Ohio 113, Milan.

The fire was in the tractor portion of a 2000 Freightliner. The crew suspect it was an electrical fire.

"I don't think it would be a total loss. I think there will be extensive work on the engine," Chief Brian Rospert said.

The driver was outside of the rig when he noticed smoke coming from under the hood.

"He was moving trailers around," Rospert said.

Firefighters were dispatched between 9:30 and 9:40 p.m.

"Upon arrival, they had it knocked down. We just did overhaul of the truck," Rospert said.

Freudenberg is a "'technology specialist' for elastometric seals and custom molded products," according to its website, www.freudenberg-nok.com.
