Norwalk sees more than 7 inches of rain in past week

On Monday, Norwalk received 2.80 inches of rain and that was followed up by another 2.2 inches on Tuesday, good for a 5-inch, two-day total.

The Norwalk area received a great deal more rainfall than was first reported due to the remnants of Hurricane Sandy.

The National Weather Service updated its totals Wednesday for Friday through Tuesday.

On Friday, Norwalk received 1.14 inches of rain.

Saturday things calmed down a bit as the city was the recipient of just .07 inches of rainfall.

The rain picked up Sunday, with 1.32 inches falling.

Monday and Tuesday were quite soggy.

On Monday, Norwalk received 2.80 inches of rain and that was followed up by another 2.2 inches on Tuesday, good for a 5-inch, two-day total.

Since Friday, Norwalk has received more than 7.5 inches of rain.

In October, Norwalk had about 10.2 inches of rainfall, which is well above the normal 2.76 inches the city receives in an average October.
