Troopers with the state Highway Patrol suspect alcohol was a factor in an injury accident Tuesday night at the intersection of Bullhead Road and Ohio 103 in Huron County's Richmond Township.

Victor J. Predmore, 52, of 16 S. Main St., Willard, was westbound on Bullhead at 7:29 p.m. Trooper Steven Drew, in his report, said the driver failed to stop at the posted stop sign at Ohio 103, went through the intersection and went off the left side of Ohio 103.

Predmore hit a rock, "road closed" barricade, utility sign and a stop sign. Drew reported the motorist attempted to leave the scene, going eastbound on Bullhead and went back through the intersection.

The driver then went off the right side of the road and hit a landscape bed before going off the opposite side and stopping in a yard.

The 2005 Chevrolet Malibu stopped facing northbound. Wilcox Garage towed the car from the scene with damage to the left side.

A LifeFlight helicopter flew Predmore to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo with serious injuries. A hospital spokeswoman said the patient was listed in fair condition as of Thursday morning.

The patrol reported troopers have requested a blood sample from Predmore. Those results are pending.

The crash remains under investigation.
