Milan resident wins state award

HURON Debralee Divers, director of admissions and financial aid at BGSU Firelands, received the James W. White Award for outstanding volunteer service at the annual Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators conference, held May 16 to 18 at King's Island Resort and Conference Center, near Cincinnati. White was the director of financial aid at Muskingum College from 1962 to 1967 and at Oberlin College from 1967 to 1990. The award exemplifies the OASFAA commitment and dedication to serving others. Divers will serve as OASFAA treasurer in 2007-2008 and has served a one-year term as treasurer-elect. She also is a member of Edison's athletic, drama and music boosters.

Divers and her husband, King, and their two children, Kelsey and Kale, live in Milan. Kelsey is a graduating senior and Kale is a freshman at Edison High School.
